About the Artist
J. Gregory Tulley’s path to photography began during his time at the University of Cincinnati's College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP). This, combined with a lifelong passion for animals and the continent of Africa—fueled by childhood favorites like Wild Kingdom and National Geographic specials—has culminated in his current exhibit at the Think Shop, Faces Of Africa. Tulley is committed to documenting the beautiful animals, landscapes, and people of Africa, with plans to make yearly visits to continue this work.
Outside of his artistic pursuits, Tulley has a rich and diverse professional history. He spent 24 years (1995 to 2019) directing development for the City of Newport. Further fueling his artistic craving, he is also an accomplished musician who drummed for bands for over 45 years, including a 23-year tenure with the Rusty Griswolds and his current role with the Eagles Project. In his downtime, he enjoys the company of his beloved four-legged friend, Sebastian.
